General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018) came into effect on 25 May 2018 and affects the whole of the MCA and all the Associated Cadet units.  The legislation is designed to give greater data protection rights to individuals and control over their data.  GDPR and DPA 2018 replace the Data Protection Act 1988, although the data protection principles underpinning the legislation remain in place.
